Now Hiring: PRN Speech Therapist Blacksburg and Surrounding Areas

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech therapy assessments in the home setting
Develop personalized care plans aligned with physician orders and patient goals
Deliver skilled interventions to improve communication swallowing and cognitive abilities
Educate patients and caregivers on exercises safety protocols and strategies for recovery
Track progress reassess goals and adjust treatment plans as needed
Maintain accurate timely documentation using EMR systems (Kinnser WellSky or Homecare Homebase preferred)
Collaborate with physicians nurses and interdisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive care
Remain compliant with HIPAA Medicare and other regulatory standards
Stay current through ongoing professional development
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
Current Virginia license to practice as a Speech Therapist
Minimum of 2 years clinical experience; home health or SNF experience preferred
Experience with OASIS is a plus
Strong clinical and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Proficient in EMR documentation
Reliable transportation and valid drivers license
