Perform a full range of diagnostic procedures with precision and accuracy

Conduct quality control testing on imaging equipment

Review physician orders for appropriateness

Prepare patients and administer radiopharmaceuticals

Insert IV catheters as required

Acquire and process images using gamma cameras PACS and nuclear medicine management systems

Troubleshoot technical and clinical issues

Radiopharmaceutical Preparation

Order prepare and calculate doses of radiopharmaceuticals

Manage Tc99m kits and bulk supplies
-
Ensure quality control and compliance with sterile technique
-
Radioactive Material Management
-
Oversee ordering receiving distributing and storage of radioactive materials and waste
-
Ensure compliance with departmental hospital and New York State regulations
-
Therapeutic Nuclear Medicine
-
Coordinate with referring offices and radiologists for therapy planning
-
Ensure all pre-testing and documentation is complete
-
Administer therapeutic doses safely while following all radiation safety precautions

Mobile Nuclear Cardiology
-
Travel to physician offices across NY and PA using a mobile gamma camera system
-
Safely transport set up and operate equipment in varied environments
-
Work independently alongside physicians nurses and patients

Patient Care

Provide compassionate age-appropriate care for neonates through geriatrics

Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout all procedures

Compliance & Education
-
Participate in accreditation activities and departmental policy compliance

Maintain continuing education credits and required certifications

Attend annual training and educational programs
