Manage and optimize Google BigQuery for insurance data workloads focusing on policy claims underwriting actuarial and regulatory reporting required by Indian authorities (e.g.
IRDAI).
Architect and maintain secure scalable infrastructure for ingestion transformation and analytics of diverse data sources (internal systems regulators partners and public datasets
relevant to the Indian market).
Ensure strict compliance with IRDAI regulations for data protection retention and auditability including evolving guidelines on data residency and localization that mandate storage and processing of insurance data within India.
Implement robust data governance lineage quality and security practices including Personally Identifiable Information (PII) protection measures adhering to Indian privacy laws
and industry best practices.
Work cross-functionally with actuarial underwriting claims risk regulatory and technology teams to deliver secure and auditable solutions for critical business and compliance needs.
Oversee disaster recovery and data backup strategies suited to the regulatory requirements including the need for continuous and archived data availability for IRDAI audits.
Drive cloud cost-optimization strategies referencing Indian business seasonality (renewals regulatory deadlines festival-driven campaigns) and monitor cloud usage for compliance with cost and audit requirements.
Develop and automate reporting systems for IRDAI GST AML and other statutory obligations affecting Indian insurance operations.
Required Skills
Certifications in GCP or other prominent cloud platforms.
Familiarity with Indian insurance software
Experience with fraud analytics Indian actuarial/statistical modeling and advanced cloud cost optimization approaches suitable for India s insurance market.
Understanding of new Indian data privacy legislation (DPDP Act) and experience operationalizing data localization and cross-border data transfer regulations.
The job requires strong understanding of life insurance domain and testing skills.
