Location : Markham Hybrid 3 Days
About the Role :
We are seeking a skilled API & UI Automation Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in testing APIs and UI components particularly within personal and commercial insurance applications. This role focuses on automating test scenarios and integrating them into the enterprise regression suite.
Key Responsibilities:
- API Automation Testing:
Design develop and execute automated API tests and frameworks to validate functionality and performance. - UI Automation Testing:
Design develop and execute automated UI tests and frameworks to ensure user interface reliability. - Guidewire Testing:
Utilize Guidewire software to test insurance applications against business and technical requirements. - Test Analysis & Reporting:
Analyze test results identify issues and provide detailed reports with improvement recommendations. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with development operations and business teams to ensure comprehensive testing coverage. - Monitoring & Metrics:
Implement and monitor automation metrics to ensure consistent test execution performance. - Documentation:
Maintain detailed documentation of test plans scripts results and JIRA QE boards.
Qualifications :
- Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field. - Experience:
5 10 years of experience in API & UI testing preferably in insurance applications. - Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Guidewire software
- Tools: Selenium Postman SOAP UI GW GT Framework
- Scripting: JavaScript Python
- Java/J2EE technologies (EJB Servlets JSP JDBC Web Services JMS JPA)
- Experience with Edge API Layer and digital portals
- Integration using XML and GOSU
- CI/CD tools: Jenkins Git
- Cloud platforms: AWS Azure
- Proficiency in Guidewire software
- Certifications:
Relevant technology or process certifications are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based environments
- Certification in API/UI automation testing
- Knowledge of insurance industry standards and regulations
