Contract: Budget slated until 12/31/2025 but contract is expected to go 18 months
Location: 6380 South Fiddlers Green Circle Greenwood Village CO 80111 (onsite 4 days/1 remote day)
Job Description: Staff Software Engineer
Our Denver based client is seeking an experienced software developer with 7 years in the field who is skilled in Java GraphQL and JavaScript. The ideal candidate follows the companys software development lifecycle to design code configure test debug and document system and application programs. They assist in preparing technical design specifications based on functional requirements and analysis documents review these documents to provide feedback and collaborate with other development staff to ensure quality and consistency. Participation in architecture design and code reviews is expected along with developing and maintaining operational and system-level documentation. We are looking for someone who actively leverages AI tools to improve and accelerate development work and who demonstrates curiosity teamwork organization and a high level of performance.
Requirements:
- 7 years of software development experience
- Proficiency in Java GraphQL and JavaScript
- Experience following a structured software development lifecycle
- Ability to design code configure test debug and document system and application programs
- Experience preparing technical design specifications based on functional requirements and analysis documents
- Strong collaboration skills; able to work with other developers to ensure quality and consistency
- Participation in architecture design and code reviews
- Ability to develop and maintain operational and system-level documentation
- Comfortable leveraging AI tools to improve and accelerate development work
