Summary
A detail-oriented and collaborative Design Engineer to support the design product development and manufacturing of custom hospitality furniture. This role involves technical specification 3D modeling cross-functional communication and occasional on-site support to ensure product quality compliance and customer satisfaction. Top end salary range for Senior level tenured and experienced candidates.
A detail-oriented and collaborative Design Engineer to support the design product development and manufacturing of custom hospitality furniture. This role involves technical specification 3D modeling cross-functional communication and occasional on-site support to ensure product quality compliance and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
-Interpret customer design specs for hospitality furniture with attention to aesthetics durability and manufacturability.
-Interpret customer design specs for hospitality furniture with attention to aesthetics durability and manufacturability.
-Define and document specifications for electrical components LED integration and material selection.
-Efficiently create detailed 3D models and technical drawings for casegoods and upholstered items.
-Participate in calls and video conferences with customers to review and resolve design issues.
-Ensure all technical requirements align with project goals and industry standards.
-Communicate technical concerns and clarifications to customers and PMs.
-Provide installation support and troubleshoot issues on-site as needed.
-Efficiently create detailed 3D models and technical drawings for casegoods and upholstered items.
-Participate in calls and video conferences with customers to review and resolve design issues.
-Ensure all technical requirements align with project goals and industry standards.
-Communicate technical concerns and clarifications to customers and PMs.
-Provide installation support and troubleshoot issues on-site as needed.
-Review markup revise and approve drawings from drafting engineers.
-Assess physical samples for quality and adherence to specifications.

Requirements
-Willingness to travel (< 10%) for site visits and customer meetings.
-Proficiency in 3D modeling software (SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD).
-Experience in furniture design especially in hospitality environments.
-Strong knowledge of materials: laminate veneer quartz MDF plywood etc.
