Job Description
Job Title: Senior R Developer & Spotfire Expert (Clinical Domain)
Location: Chicago IL (Onsite occasional visits to customer office)
Experience Level: 7 8 years
About the Role
We are looking for two experienced R and Spotfire experts to design develop and maintain clinical data visualization and monitoring tools. Experience in building medical monitoring dashboards or platforms similar to MAPP (Medical Analytics and Patient Profiling) is highly preferred.
These roles will collaborate closely with clinical data engineers biostatisticians and medical monitors to deliver actionable insights through interactive dashboards and automated analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Spotfire dashboards for clinical study data visualization and patient monitoring.
- Write R scripts and packages for statistical analysis data transformation and custom Spotfire visualizations.
- Partner with clinical teams to identify key KPIs and metrics for medical monitoring.
- Automate workflows for data refresh validation and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (HIPAA GxP FDA 21 CFR Part 11).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data engineers statisticians clinical operations) to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Provide documentation and support for dashboards and analytical tools.
Required Qualifications
- 7 8 years of professional experience with R programming and Spotfire dashboard development.
- Strong understanding of clinical trial data patient safety monitoring and study design principles.
- Hands-on experience with data wrangling statistical modeling and visualization in R.
- Expertise in Spotfire features: calculated columns data functions ironPython scripting and customization.
- Experience working with clinical data sources (SDTM ADaM EDC systems).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with medical and technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to work onsite in Chicago and visit customer office occasionally.
