Role: Cisco Networking & F5 Load Balancers (L3 level)

Job Summary:
The Network Operations Engineer is responsible for day-to-day network monitoring incident resolution and implementation of changes across Cisco network infrastructure and F5 load balancing environments. This role acts as a bridge between Level 1 support and senior engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Cisco Networking:
- Monitor and maintain Cisco routers switches and wireless controllers.
- Perform routine configuration changes and upgrades.
- Troubleshoot Layer 2/3 network issues and escalate complex problems to L3.
- Assist in implementing network segmentation VLANs and routing protocols (OSPF EIGRP BGP).
- Support network access control and basic security policies.
F5 Load Balancers:
- Perform basic configuration and health checks of F5 BIG-IP appliances.
- Assist in creating and modifying virtual servers pools and nodes.
- Monitor traffic distribution and troubleshoot load balancing issues.
- Apply iRules and profiles under guidance from L3 engineers.
- Participate in SSL certificate management and renewals.
General:
- Respond to incidents and service requests within SLA.
- Maintain documentation for network diagrams configurations and operational procedures.
- Participate in change management and CAB meetings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for application and infrastructure support.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS/NX-OS.
- Familiarity with F5 BIG-IP LTM/GTM modules.
- Basic understanding of iRules and SSL offloading.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds PRTG etc.).
- CCNA or CCNP (preferred).
