Job Summary
Kalco Lighting designs manufactures and sells decorative lighting products to retail stores interior designers and eCommerce retailers under Kalco Lighting and Allegri Crystal brands ().

We are currently looking for a talented and highly motivated individual who can thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This is a newly created position that will offer you an opportunity to take on general accounting duties including accounts receivable journal entries reconciliations month-end closing budgeting and tax preparations.
This hands-on position has growth potential leading to comptroller positions.
Responsibilities
1. Perform daily accounting tasks such as maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts bank statements and other financial records.
2. Prepare and post journal entries and ensure that there are adequate supporting documentation and proper coding.
3. Perform month end closing and prepare financial reports.
4. Support preparation and filing for tax compliance for all state local and federal taxes including sales property payroll and income taxes.
5. Ensure compliance with GAAP for all financial records.
6. Assist with annual financial and process audits.
7. Manage product inventory and related accounting functions.
8. Analyze financial performance and provide management reports.
9. Assist with budget and forecast preparations and monitor performance to budget with respect to revenues and expenditures.
10. Maintain Accounts Receivable collections process including communication with customers and sales reps on past due balances.
11. Respond to customer inquiries and resolve outstanding issues in a timely manner which may include working with various internal departments.
Assist with process and system improvement projects ad hoc projects and research as necessary.
Qualifications

2. BS/BA in Accounting or Finance with minimum 5 years experience in corporate or public accounting with significant responsibilities.
3. Solid understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting principles.
4. Hands-on experience with Sage or similar ERP software with integral knowledge of creating relevant reports and analytical tools is a must.
5. Must have solid written and verbal ability to communicate.
