Description
We are currently seeking experienced MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in this role you will play a crucial part in providing specialized medical care to patients with heart conditions. Your expertise will be vital in diagnosing treating and preventing cardiovascular diseases contributing significantly to the well-being of our patients.
As a Cardiologist you will be involved in a variety of projects such as conducting diagnostic tests interpreting results prescribing treatment plans and performing procedures like angioplasty or inserting pacemakers. Your role is essential in ensuring the cardiac health and overall quality of life for individuals in need of specialized care.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough patient consultations and medical histories.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as ECGs echocardiograms and stress tests.
- Developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans for patients with heart conditions.
- Performing procedures including cardiac catheterization angioplasty and inserting pacemakers.
- Monitoring patients progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Educating patients on heart disease prevention lifestyle changes and medication management.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Participating in research studies and staying updated on the latest advancements in cardiology.
Requirements:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree with specialization in Cardiology.
- Board certification in Cardiology.
- Valid state medical license to practice as a Cardiologist.
- Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interactions.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in interpreting test results and developing treatment plans.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of advancements in the field of cardiology.
Schedule: Monday-Friday day shifts
1:5 call rotation
Setting: Equal split between outpatient clinic and inpatient consults
Duties: Evaluation and management of patients referred for transplant evaluation post-transplant care VAD management and long-term follow-up of non-transplant patients with advanced heart failure
Procedures: Endomyocardial biopsy cardiac catheterization etc.
Support Staff: 9 total AHF cardiologists full surgical staff
EMR: Cerner Epic
Must be board-certified
