Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physicians Assistant) specializing in this role you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality care to patients with respiratory conditions. Your expertise will be instrumental in diagnosing treating and managing pulmonary diseases making a significant impact on the well-being of our patients.
As an NP or PA in Pulmonology you will be involved in a variety of projects focused on respiratory health collaborating closely with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and examinations of patients with pulmonary disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with respiratory conditions.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests and imaging studies.
- Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies for pulmonary diseases.
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory health management and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and treatment strategies.
- Participate in research projects and quality improvement initiatives related to Pulmonology.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
Requirements:
- Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant program.
- Current NP or PA license in the state of practice.
- Specialization or certification in Pulmonology is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pulmonary diseases treatments and best practices.
- Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p
No call or weekend shifts
Setting: Outpatient
Patient Cenus: 20-30 per day
Team Structure: 2 MDs 2 APPs
Preferred Experience: 1 year of outpatient pulmonology
Must be board-certified
