Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physicians Assistant) specializing in this role you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality care to patients with respiratory conditions. Your expertise will be instrumental in diagnosing treating and managing pulmonary diseases making a significant impact on the well-being of our patients.

As an NP or PA in Pulmonology you will be involved in a variety of projects focused on respiratory health collaborating closely with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the overall success of our healthcare team while advancing your career in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and examinations of patients with pulmonary disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with respiratory conditions.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests and imaging studies.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies for pulmonary diseases.
  • Educate patients and their families on respiratory health management and disease prevention.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and treatment strategies.
  • Participate in research projects and quality improvement initiatives related to Pulmonology.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant program.
  • Current NP or PA license in the state of practice.
  • Specialization or certification in Pulmonology is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of pulmonary diseases treatments and best practices.
  • Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p

No call or weekend shifts

Setting: Outpatient

Patient Cenus: 20-30 per day

Team Structure: 2 MDs 2 APPs

Preferred Experience: 1 year of outpatient pulmonology

Must be board-certified
