Job Summary

Primary Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities Purpose of Job: Collaborate with the Construction Manager to support the planning coordination and execution of construction projects. This position will provide valuable experience in project management within the construction industry in the areas of estimating planning scheduling budgeting and contracts. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in project support including material handling and site maintenance. Assist in project planning scheduling and coordination. Collaborate with Project Managers to monitor project progress and ensure timelines are met. Aid in the management of project documentation including contracts budgets and reports. Assist in coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers. Participate in on-site inspections and quality control checks. Contribute to educational outreach activities related to construction project management. Perform any additional tasks as directed by Project Managers. Responsible for personal safety and the safety of the project team adhering to safety protocols and best practices at all times. Supervision : Direct supervision from Professor Keith Nixon for day-to-day instruction. Professor Nixon will also act as the Faculty Mentor within the STEM Internship Program. General instructions and work periodically reviewed by department among the Industrial Technology faculty. STEM Internship Program: This position is part of the Title III STEM LoboTrack to Success (L TS) SRSU STEM Faculty Internship Program. Along with the normal job duties the student will learn from the faculty supervisor about the STEM workforce different career pathways research and more. Students will gain knowledge experience and professional connections in the STEM field. Students will have access to professional development tools throughout the internship program (resume building interview practices etc.). Additionally the student must present at the SRSU Spring Research Symposium. For more questions regarding the internship program reach out to Amanda Piper ().
