The Critical Facilities Technician will play a key role in the maintenance and operation of Apples critical infrastructure systems ensuring maximum uptime and performance in high-availability environments. They will perform preventative and corrective maintenance respond to emergency situations and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all facility systems. The role will report to the Electrical Systems Manager.
- 5 years of experience in a mission-critical facilities environment.
- Strong knowledge of hyper-scale electrical and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70e OSHA and other applicable safety standards.
- Ability to lift 5075 pounds and work in physically demanding conditions including heights and confined spaces.
- Willingness to work shifts be on-call and respond during emergencies.
- Electrical apprentice program or trade school graduate preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new technology and complex workflows.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Deep understanding of energy management systems and building operations.
- Unsurpassed customer focus with a Can-Do attitude.
- Experience coordinating with vendors suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to provide technical guidance and recommendations under pressure.
- Strong initiative flexibility and a sense of urgency in critical situations.
- Working knowledge of CMMS computing platforms including Outlook Excel Word and Mac.
