Position Purpose:
The positions purpose is to analyze and interpret large datasets transforming complex data into actionable insights for strategic decision-making. This involves data extraction trend identification and the communication of findings to internal stakeholders. Additionally the role includes improving data analysis methodologies and assessing new process impacts ensuring data practices support business objectives and foster innovation.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Projection Factors and Universes Maintenance: Maintenance and refinement of projection factors and universes. Deep understanding of how these factors and universes impact the business.
- Optimal Data Extraction from Large Databases: Responsible for efficiently extracting data from extensive databases. Advanced skills in data querying and manipulation using tools and languages suited for big data environments.
- Data Analysis and Value Addition:Analyze control and interpreting the data adding value by identifying patterns trends and anomalies that could impact business decisions.
- Application and Improvement of Existing Methodologies. Apply monitor and review existing methodologies constantly seeking opportunities for refinement and enhancement.
- Impact Analysis for New Process Implementation. Assisting in the analysis and impact assessment of implementing new processes within the company by evaluating how new methodologies and changes affect data integrity and business decisions.
Minimum Education Experience & Specialized Knowledge Required:
- Education: Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering Mathematics Actuarial Science Statistics Data Science or related fields. Specialization or postgraduate studies in applied statistics or data science are highly valued.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience analyzing information and applying descriptive statistics in operations research market research applied statistics or related areas.
- Data Management:Deep understanding of data management and advanced skills in the use of SQL databases. Experience with large databases and systems with a particular focus on the application of descriptive statistics.
- Statistical Programming: Knowledge of SAS programming in both PC and mainframe environment is highly valued.
- Statistical Analysis: Sampling techniques with a strong focus on descriptive statistics.
- Programming Languages:Practical knowledge of R and Python. A solid foundation in SQL for data manipulation and analysis is essential.
- English:Intermediate level of English both spoken and written is required to ensure effective communication in an international setting.
