Location: Hotel Arista
Department: Housekeeping
Reports to: Housekeeping Manager
Status:Hourly Non-Exempt
Compensation Range:$17.00-19.00/hour commensurate with experience and education.
Age Requirements: Must be 18
Additional Requirements: Must have open availability on weekends.

Role Summary:
The laundry attendant ensures clean linens are provided to the hotel daily for ultimate guest satisfaction.


Responsibilities:
  1. Must attend all pre-shift meetings and annual training sessions.
  2. Sort wash dry press all linens for the hotel fitness center and spa
  3. Take inventory of all laundry soaps
  4. Change laundry soaps as needed
  5. Ensure all stains are treated according to procedure
  6. Inventory all linen throughout the hotel as needed
  7. Keep work area clean and organized
  8. Remove trash daily
  9. Monitor wash cycles and report deficiencies
  10. Participate in training of heavy machinery use including the presser washers and dryers.
  11. Must be well organized and posses good time management skills.
  12. Must have the ability to work independently but also work as a team

Minimum Qualifications:

Education
  1. Must be able to speak and understand English.
  2. Basic reading writing and math skills

Experience
  1. Must have janitorial laundry or housekeeping experience
  2. Luxury hotel experience preferred

Skills
  1. Ability to handle heavy equipment
  2. Ability to follow instruction
  3. Able to work alone as well as being a team player
  4. Good communication skills when interacting with guests and other employees
  5. Ability works a flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays.
  6. Ability to pick-up shifts on short notice
  7. Must be honest and dependable and help maintain a positive work environment
  8. Ability to work with little to no supervision while meeting high performance standards
  9. Must be detail oriented and posses strong organizational skills and time management
  10. Physical Requirements
  11. Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds and the ability to push/pull large weight objects more than 150 pounds
  12. Standing for extended periods of time up to 8 hours.
  13. Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain facility
  14. Frequent bending stooping kneeling
