ChristianaCare is currently seeking aFull-Time Patient Escort Ito join our dynamic this vital role youll help ensure the safe and timely transport of patients throughout our hospital making a meaningful difference in their care journey.
Schedule:
- 10:00 AM 6:30 PM
- 40 hours per week
- Requires working every other weekend
- Includesholiday rotation
What Youll Do:
- Safely transport patients via stretcher wheelchair bed or specialized vehicle
- Respond to transport and equipment requests from dispatchers and clinical staff
- Interact with patients families and healthcare professionals with empathy and professionalism

What You Bring:
- 2 years of customer service experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must obtainBLS certificationupon hire
- Ability to meet physical demands (standing walking lifting pushing/pulling)
- Commitment to safety cleanliness and infection control

This position has a starting rate of $17.32 per hour regardless of prior experience. After six months of continuous employment the hourly rate will automatically increase to $20.34 per hour. After one year of continuous employment the hourly rate will automatically increase to $21.34 per hour.This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCares good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
