The NextGen Weather Processor (NWP) Program is seeking a motivated student intern for the summer 2026 months to participate in day-to-day operations that include general office administration. There is a wide array of tasks for this position to ensure efficient and consistent operations of the business. The position is a great opportunity to learn operations and program management skills as well as gain exposure to multi-level leadership and a variety of other programs within the sub-mission area. This position will work in partnership with leadership and other departments including engineering finance supply chain business development and others. As a Program Office Intern the selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the program staff in a variety of tasking. The selected candidate will need to be able to adapt in a dynamic work environment and have the proven ability to independently push actions to closure.
What You Will Do:
- Shadow Program Management staff and perform designated tasks in support of program execution.
- Assist with meeting preparation including report generation/review.
- Prepare spreadsheets analyze proposals and support program review meetings.
- Assist in the archiving of documents.
What You Will Learn:
- Lead a business improvement project and present to leadership during internship.
- Work with cross functional teams to develop program plans.
- Consolidate data from various reporting systems to provide stakeholders with data needed to manage effectively.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelors or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizensare authorized to access information under thisprogram/contract
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Proven organizational and communication skills.
- Experience with MS Office Suite.
- Ability to multi-task prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong desire to learn.
- Ability to prepare presentations and brief personnel.
- Experience working in teams.

The salary range for this role is 37000 USD - 82000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
