| Duties & Responsibilities | The program specialist supports programs and events offered by the Office of the Provost - Faculty Affairs. This includes a variety of professional learning and orientation events for faculty at all career stages. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: - Plan and execute in person hybrid and online events and sessions for faculty and leaders
- Coordinate event logistics including communication marketing and catering as needed
- Contribute to long-term and strategic planning of events with a focus on continuous improvement
- Develop materials for use in presentations meetings and events
- Other duties as assigned

| Qualifications | Required Qualifications:
- Attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Experience with Canva or other publishing software
- Experience planning and executing events
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Responsive accurate and timely communication and action
- 2-3 years of related experience
- Provide hands-on support during events including setup troubleshooting and coordination
- Ability to effectively communicate and liaise with internal departments sponsors and partners to ensure event success
- Conduct needs assessments and market research to inform program themes formats and delivery methods.
- Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect professionalism and civility with a population of faculty staff and students from all backgrounds and experiences or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
Preferred Qualifications:
- College degree
- 3 years of related experience
