Occupational Therapist LTC/SNF - Travel Position
Location: Paris TN
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 5x8s Days
Pay: $2005/week
Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join a skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Paris TN on a travel contract. The Occupational Therapist will assess residents create individualized treatment plans and provide therapy services designed to improve daily living skills mobility and independence. The ideal candidate is patient-centered detail-oriented and experienced in geriatric rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to assess functional abilities cognitive skills and therapy needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in coordination with physicians and interdisciplinary staff.
- Provide therapeutic interventions focused on self-care fine motor skills and safe mobility.
- Educate residents families and caregivers on therapy goals safety practices and adaptive equipment use.
- Document evaluations progress notes and outcomes accurately and in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with nursing and therapy staff to ensure coordinated patient-centered care.
- Promote independence safety and quality of life through evidence-based therapy practices.
Qualifications
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in Tennessee (or compact license).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent OT experience preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support.
- COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
- Strong assessment communication and organizational skills.
- Compassionate approach with experience supporting geriatric populations.
