Position Summary:
The Patient Transporter is an integral part of the patient care team providing prompt courteous customer-focused service to the patients visitors and coworkers of Boston Medical Center. The Patient Transporter is responsible for patient transport within the hospital and for miscellaneous functions as well. He/she contributes to service excellence by fostering collaboration among and between team members as well as other ancillary departments.
Schedule: 40 Hours Evenings 3p-1130p Every Other Weekend Full-Time Benefit Eligible
Week 1: Sunday-Thursday (Friday/Saturday off)
Week 2: Monday-Thursday Saturday (Sunday Friday off)
Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Experience: Previous hospital experience preferred
Certification/Licensure: BLS/CPR certification required
Ability to read write and communicate in English
Ability to lift without any limitations
