Job Summary:
The Custodial Worker at Vista Care is responsible for cleaning and maintaining assigned buildings and apartment locations. Key duties involve sweeping mopping vacuuming dusting polishing waste disposal and making beds in living quarters while maintaining a level of attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and safety protocols. This position reports to the Chief of Staff.
Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures all Vista Care corporate offices apartments and other assigned locations are cleaned and maintained according to company standards and safety protocols.
- Complete daily checklists of activities and tasks and provides to supervisor
- Maintains supplies and notifies supervisor when cleaning supplies are low
- Floor care: Sweeping dry or wet mopping scrubbing waxing and polishing floors using brooms mops and lightweight floor machines.
- Dusting and polishing: Cleaning furniture metal fixtures windows and glass doors.
- Waste management: Emptying wastebaskets and collecting soiled linens.
- Restroom cleaning: Ensuring bathrooms are clean tidy and well-stocked with supplies.
- Bed making: In residential apartment settings making beds and changing linens as well as completing associated laundry.
- Other duties as assigned
Program responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Reports to work routinely and timely; if unable to report to work or if there is a need to come to work late or leave early follow Vista Cares approval policy.
Complete required on-going training requirements and competency levels within Vista Care and State/County required addition to other training requirements include but are not limited to:
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in custodial and housekeeping responsibilities preferred
Scope of Supervision:
- None
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk bend push pull and lift repetitively during work hours
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals proper storage and disposal methods
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-motivation and the ability to identify and complete needed tasks without direct supervision
- Ability to lift at least thirty (30) pounds and the ability to bend twist lift reach
- Variable weekly hours to support operational needs including evenings nights weekends and holidays including possible on-call support.

Pay
