Occupational Therapist Travel Position
Location: Rio Rancho NM

Pay: $2315/week
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join a rehabilitation team in Rio Rancho NM on a travel contract. The Occupational Therapist will assess and treat patients to improve their ability to perform daily living and work-related tasks fostering independence and quality of life. The ideal candidate is compassionate adaptable and skilled in providing therapy in inpatient or outpatient rehab settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine functional abilities cognitive skills and therapy needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary staff.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to enhance self-care fine motor skills mobility and use of adaptive equipment.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy goals safety techniques and home exercise programs.
- Accurately document evaluations progress notes and treatment outcomes in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated patient-centered care.
- Promote safety independence and participation in daily living through evidence-based therapy practices.
Qualifications
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in New Mexico (or compact license).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent occupational therapy experience in rehabilitation or related settings.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support.
- COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
- Strong communication organizational and clinical reasoning skills.
- Compassionate patient-centered approach to rehabilitation care.
