Moss Adams (now Baker Tilly) is currently seeking a Compliance Internal Audit Intern for 2026.

Our interns gain knowledge of the firms Assurance Tax and Consulting practices through working with multiple clients across a variety of industries.

The Business Consulting Services practice provides comprehensive internal and performance audit services to clients throughout the Western United States. Additionally we help clients to implement solutions through policy and procedure development organizational redesign process improvement and training. We are a highly collaborative group that is committed to providing superior client service through strong relationships and high-value deliverables.

The Compliance Internal Audit Intern will work on a variety of projects that may include grant management compliance support and internal audit services primarily for governmental tribal and not-for-profit entities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire. Moss Adams (now Baker Tilly) will not consider candidates for this position who require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g. H-1B STEM OPT)
  • Must have completed or be enrolled in a bachelors or masters degree program with a preference for accounting majors
  • Must reside within a commutable distance to a Moss Adams (now Baker Tilly) office and be willing to work on-site
  • Eligible candidates must have academic courses remaining at the end of the internship; ideally in the third year of a 4-year program or fourth year of a 5-year program

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Major in Accounting or coursework in technology-related fields highly desirable
  • Masters in Accounting MBA or MPA preferred
  • Willingness to travel to client locations including overnight stays with travel expectations varying by department and office location
  • Flexibility to work overtime or additional hours including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Excellent customer service skills; Ability to understand own and others emotions in order to achieve desired goals
  • Creative problem solving critical thinking and research skills; Organize information and exercise well-reasoned judgment
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; Demonstrate confidence in decision making and poise in professional setting
  • Work effectively both as part of a team and independently
  • Highly motivated and embrace challenges as opportunities to grow
  • Outstanding organization and project management skills; Take responsibility for quality and timeliness of projects
  • Quickly adapt to a changing work environment including the use of software systems and technology
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
