Are you a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist with experience in autism assessments Pulse is recruiting on behalf of our sister company Xyla for a qualified psychologist to undertake face-to-face ADI-R assessments in Rainham Greater London. This is a sessional role offering flexibility and the option to be paid outside of IR35 into a limited company making it ideal for professionals seeking autonomy and competitive rates.
Youll be working with Xyla a trusted provider of psychological services supporting local authorities and NHS trusts in delivering high-quality autism diagnostic assessments. The assessments will be conducted in person and youll be part of a collaborative team committed to improving outcomes for neurodiverse individuals.
Responsibilities
As the post holder you will:
- Conduct structured ADI-R interviews with parents/carers of individuals referred for autism assessments
- Provide detailed clinical reports based on your findings
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to support diagnostic decision-making
- Maintain accurate records and uphold clinical governance standards
- Deliver compassionate person-centred care throughout the assessment process

Qualifications and Experience
We welcome applications from psychologists who meet the following criteria:
- Essential: HCPC registration as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist
- Essential: Experience in administering the ADI-R particularly the developmental interview
- Desirable: Formal ADI-R training
