Reports to: CV Services Director

Schedule: PRN Days (Raleigh NC)

How youll contribute

  • Performs various cardiovascular/vascular procedures including but not limited to monitoring of diagnostic and interventional procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
  • Operates specialized equipment for use in diagnostic and vascular test; and therapeutic interventions performed in the Cardiac/Vascular Cath Lab
  • Scrubs at the tableside and monitors patients as assigned.
  • Responsible for patient transport as necessary.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots resolves and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.

What were looking for
Applicants should have an associates degree from a Graduate of a Program in Discipline (Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Technology) - Required. Additional requirements include:

  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with a thorough working knowledge of practices and experiences in a Cardiac/Vascular Cath Lab.
  • One-year of cardiovascular lab or special procedures experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to perform all vascular/cardiac procedures involving the operation of imaging equipment including assisting the physician during the actual catheterization procedure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
