**Job Description**
- Provide excellent care for babies in a small hospital with 32 beds where we usually care for about 12 newborns each day.
- Work together with other specialists such as surgeons heart doctors stomach doctors and ear/nose/throat doctors to help with complicated cases of newborns.
- Be part of the team that takes care of newborns including direct care for babies and talking with their families.
- Help the hospital as a special childrens service and take part in improving care quality.
- Work in a friendly team atmosphere that supports a good balance between work and personal life.
- Interact with hospital staff to maintain and improve the care we provide to newborns.
**Qualifications**
- Must be Board Eligible (within 5 years after finishing training) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
this is a strict requirement.
- Must have a California Medical License or be able to get one
this is also required.- A clean history with malpractice and medical licenses is very preferred.
- Must be willing to provide round-the-clock care this is necessary.
**Certification Requirements**
- Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible.
**State License Requirements**
- Must have a license to practice in California.
**Additional License Requirements**
- Must be Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
