**Responsibilities:**
- Provide bedside first assistance in robotic surgical procedures across gynecology urology general surgery and bariatric disciplines.
- Facilitate the placement of ports and ensure the closure of port sites.
- Offer assistance in non-robotic surgical cases as required.
- Participate in the documentation of discharges as well as outpatient prescriptions when necessary.
**Team and Environment:**
- A surgeon and residents are present during all surgical cases with senior residents typically stationed at the console while junior residents assist at the bedside.
- Collaborative support is provided by scrub technicians and circulating nurses.
- The robotic platform is utilized by a credentialed group of over 30 surgeons.
**Board Certification:**
- NCCPA certification is required.
**State License:**
- An active Michigan medical license is mandatory; applications from providers needing to obtain a license will not be accepted.
**Certifications:**
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association are required.
**Experience:**
- A minimum of two to three years of experience as a robotic bedside first assistant in gynecology urology general surgery and bariatrics is required.
**EMR Experience:**
- Experience with Cerner is preferred.
**Certification Requirements:**
- ACLS - BLS
**State License Requirements:**
- Michigan license is required.
