**Job Description:**
**Location and Facilities:**
- Grand Rapids Michigan: 15-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Muskegon Michigan: 8-bed Level II Special Care Nursery
The responsibilities of this position include providing both direct and indirect patient care to neonates within Level III and Level II NICUs.
The incumbent will collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams comprising physicians nurses and therapists. Additionally the role entails participating in the teaching and mentoring of junior providers and trainees as well as documenting patient care and clinical activities within the Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. Engagement in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research as necessary is expected.
The candidate will also support community health programs related to neonatal care and is required to maintain up-to-date licensure and certifications.
**Qualifications:**
- Board Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (by the time of commencement) -
**REQUIRED**- Relevant clinical experience

- Active Michigan License -
**REQUIRED**
- Active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration -
*REQUIRED**- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications - **REQUIRED**
**Certification Requirements:**
- ACLS- BLS- Board Certification
- DEA registration
**State License Requirements:**-
Michigan
**Additional License Requirements:**
- Board certification in the specialty of Neonatology prior to employment supported by fellowship training.
