Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Journeyman-level Electricians to provide on-demand services at state office facilities in Binghamton NY. This role involves evening and weekend assignments with occasional daytime work. Electricians will perform electrical and data-related tasks ensuring high-quality workmanship safety compliance and clear communication with project managers and site personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and relocate floor boxes on raised flooring.
- Remove unused electrical or data connections and harvest wires from beneath floors.
- Update electrical closets to support additional services.
- Install new wall outlets for electrical and data services.
- Connect services to designated panels and verify connections.
- Properly tag new cables/wires with identifying jack numbers.
- Perform minor related work such as cutting/replacing floor/carpet tiles and ensuring work areas are clean.
- Review work assignments with site personnel before quoting.
- Provide not-to-exceed project quotes including labor hours and materials.
- Submit certified payroll and detailed invoices within project guidelines.
Requirements
- Journeyman-level electrician status.
- Ability to perform both electrical and data-related work.
- Strong attention to detail organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Must be able to respond to project walkthrough requests within two business days.
- Willingness to work evenings weekends and occasional daytime hours.
- Must pass required background checks.
