DescriptionWelfare and Self-Reliance Finance team is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to make an impact on a retail business oversee financial/compliance matters for several Employment Division units including (but not limited to) Deseret Industries and Development Counseling Services. Finance employees receive account for monitor and design internal controls to safeguard sacred funds.
Responsibilities- Ensure Compliance with GAAP policies and procedures.
- Train and support diverse groups.
- Perform reviews and internal audits remotely and onsite.
- Coordinate preparation and analysis of consolidated department budgets financial statements ad hoc reports.
- Be a project lead or team member for technical projects impacting divisions dealing with complex accounting compliance risks controls and budgeting issues.
- Adaptable anticipate future needs.
- Manage other projects as needed.
- Domestic travel will be required (approximately 30%)
QualificationsBachelors degree in Accounting (or Finance or Business Management) is required. CMA CPA or MBA preferred. Eight to ten years of relevant experience in accounting auditing business management or equivalent. Demonstrate understanding of accounting principles and Church accounting systems. Must operate a personal computer and have knowledge of word processing spreadsheet; in particular Excel and Microsoft Word. Must be able to learn new software. This position usually reports to a Finance Manager or Controller. This is the most senior skill level without direct supervisory responsibility.
