How youll contribute
The Referral Coordinator provides medical support services to the providers to ensure a smooth flow of patients through the medical clinics of Las Cruces Physician Practices. Additional responsibilities include:
- Initiates referral process and evaluates requirements for each referral per protocol.
- Makes referral appointments and maintains referral log in Dashboard.
- Assists with call backs to patients insurances and outside providers when referring to all with call backs to patient at provider request. Maintains tracking in the Dashboard.
- Maintains daily EHR worklist and documents in Dashboard or clinic EHR patient data into clinic tracking system.
- Maintains professional growth by attending all meetings and in-service in Continuous Quality Improvement CQI activities and staff meetings.
- Maintains the highest professional ethics and is honest in dealing with people; is a model for all employees through his/her actions. Strives to learn more and is receptive to new challenges and opportunities.
Schedule:This position is a Full Time hourly role working general business hours and has flexibility for some remote work.

What were looking for
Applicants must have a High School or GED. A minimum of 2 years working within a medical clinic environment is preferred. Additional requirements for the ideal candidate include:
- Ability to use Microsoft Word for basic correspondence.
- Ability to type a minimum of 40 WPM.
- Must be able to use Excel and provide analysis into data reports.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
