The Role & The Team
Airservices Australia is seeking a skilled Asset Planning Engineer to be part of a high-impact national infrastructure program to support the launch of the Western Sydney International Airport (WSIA) in 2026. This role is pivotal in ensuring a smooth transition into operations and maintenance (O&M) by developing and implementing comprehensive asset management strategies.
You will work in a collaborative safety-focused environment with opportunities to contribute to cutting-edge aviation systems and technologies.
Key responsibilities:
-Develop asset management plans system management plans and maintenance schedules
- Conduct life cycle costing spares analysis and asset impact assessments.
- Format and load master data into CMMS and implement service management tools
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to meet commissioning and operational requirements
- Ensure compliance with Airservices Technology Management Framework and safety standards

The Person
The successful applicant will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering specifically a Washington Accord-accredited degree or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in asset management including developing asset management plans maintenance planning Life Cycle Costing and Logistic Support Analysis
- Ability to perform systems engineering tasks aligned with Airservices Technology Management Framework (TMF)
- Experience in developing system management plans and conducting asset impact assessments
- Strong collaboration skills to work with internal teams and external vendors.
- Familiarity with safety risk and compliance standards
- Effective time management and prioritisation
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) with Engineers Australia (or eligibility to obtain it) and other Asset Management Certifications are desirable
