Job Description:
Our site nearCulpeper VA in beautiful rural Orange County is our center of excellence for Solid Rocket Motor Propulsion and Energetics development as well as high-complexity production programs.
An Engineering Technician supports tooling in prescribing compounds and providing preventive maintenance to complex custom equipment.
Essential Functions:
- Performs a variety of duties in the electronic mechanical and laboratory areas.
- Assists in the test and check-out of custom tooling.
- Works from schematics operating or repair manuals engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
- May work with complex machines or computer systems.
- Performs calibration and alignment check prepares prescribed compounds and solutions
- Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
- Performs complete Preventive Maintenance on complex custom Tooling.
- Major communications with multiple departments of Engineers
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant Engineering Technician experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Tooling experience is preferred.
- Familiarity of GD&T
- Previous mechanical knowledge
