Tessera is seeking a passionate and detail-driven Safety and Quality Control Inspector to support USAFA BMC operations. This vital role oversees safety environmental management ISO 9001 compliance and quality assurance programs. Operating independently while collaborating with experts locally and at the home office the inspector will help uphold Tesseras commitment to excellence integrity and continuous improvementaffirming that every contribution matters and every voice is valued.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

• Develop implement and monitor safety quality and environmental programs aligned with ISO 9001 standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coach and support personnel involved in local compliance efforts fostering best practices and accountability.
• Coordinate and deliver training programs such as defensive driving lockout/tagout confined space entry and fire protection.
• Conduct inspections audits and fire drills to ensure operational compliance and readiness.
• Investigate incidents and nonconformance issues and prepare technical reports and corrective action plans.
• Draft and maintain SOPs work instructions and local operating procedures for EH&S functions.
• Collaborate with environmental offices and internal teams to manage SDS documentation and work order execution.
• Utilize systems such as Maximo DoD e-Tools and ESMIS to monitor data accuracy and identify trends.
• Review maintenance records and inspection files to detect recurring issues and recommend improvements.
• Provide independent assessments and recommendations to optimize site safety quality and environmental processes.

Qualifications:

• Experience in safety quality control and environmental compliance (preferably in military or government contracts).
• Strong knowledge of OSHA USACE and ISO 9001 standards.
• Proficiency in data systems such as Maximo and DoD platforms.
• Excellent communication analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

• May be required to reach kneel walk stand and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
• Work may require repetitive motion reaching lifting kneeling and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time climbing in and out of a vehicle and up and down stairs may also be required.
• Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

• A valid state drivers license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tesseras insurance.
