This position may be eligible for a statutory $1.00 an hour base pay increase effective on July 1 2026.

*This position may be covered by aVoluntary Employee Beneficiary Association (VEBA)

JOB DUTIES:

As an Operations Specialist you will:

  • Process Payroll - Assist with payroll processing and related tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Risk Exposure process and track insurance claims. Maintain insurance asset information.
  • SABHRS Security evaluate submit and monitor access requests.
  • Technology Support assist with minor technology related issues as well as hardware and software tracking.
  • Reporting assist with agency reporting needs.
  • Project Support assist with annual biennial and other projects as needed.
  • Data Analysis - Conduct research system/process analysis and data gathering and reporting.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Microsoft Excel spreadsheet skills and Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Database management.
  • State payroll processes and practices.
  • State governmental accounting systems.

  • Analyzing practices and processes to look for more effective or efficient methods.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates with a strong mix of the attributes listed in the above Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs) in the fields of business agency services project management or other related fields are desired. Candidates may demonstrate competency in the KSAs through at least 7 years directly related experience formal education (including certificates credentials or degree-based programs) or a combination of both. Candidates should clearly describe how their experience and education meet the identified KSAs and provide examples in their cover letter that demonstrate their qualifications. Any combination of equivalent experience and education to successfully perform the essential functions of the position will be considered.
