Job Description:
Our Quality Assurance Inspectors are responsible for validating products and documentation for compliance to applicable requirements. Prepares items for presentation to the customer for acceptance and delivery. Additionally in this role you will be expected to perform inspections Audits/Verifications of purchased parts units materials and module level assemblies. Perform quality control functions inspections and specification validations of in-process products on programs.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure accurate inspection of in-process sub-assemblies and top-level assemblies.
- Review and maintain support documentation accurately comparing and verifying information across multiple documents.
- Interact cross functionally to meet department deadlines.
- Ensure in-process and finished products follow company standards.
- Determine methods and procedures necessary for inspection.
- Validates product and documentation for compliance to applicable requirements through inspection and GD&T measurements.
- Prepares Product and Product Articles for presentation to the customer for acceptance and delivery.
- Complete training courses for the position (on site at this facility) J-STD-001 IPC-A-610 (as needed) IPC-WHMA-A-620 (as needed) and Space Addendum NASA-STD-8739.1 and .4 Torque training on the job training by peers.
- Work overtime as needed.
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 4 years of prior related experience.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience working in MES TIPQA SAP or a similar manufacturing system.
- Must be a United States Citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with Military/Space workmanship specifications and IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001 soldering specifications or work and experience in a similar field.
- Previous GD & T background working with various hand tools (micrometer dial indicator and plug gauges.
- Experience reading drawings inspection instructions and engineering specification documents.
- Experience reviewing manufacturing documentation and test data for accuracy.
- Observant and attentive to detail.
- Good communication skills written and verbal.
- Organizational skills.
- Familiarity working within Excel and Word.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work for prolonged periods of time looking through a microscope.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time reviewing detailed manufacturing paperwork.
- Must be able to lift to a minimum of 25 pounds.
