Job Summary

Job Title: MRI Technologist Weekend Contract

Location: New York NY 10029
Schedule: Saturday & Sunday 12:00am8:00am
Hours: 15 hours per week (7.5 hours per shift)

About the Role

We are currently hiring an experienced MRI Technologist to support our radiology services on a part-time weekend schedule. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MRI scanning cross-sectional anatomy and patient safety while working with advanced imaging technology.

Responsibilities

Operate MRI equipment and perform imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols.
Accurately position patients and MRI coils for optimal image quality.
Review patient safety forms and confirm eligibility for MRI.
Educate patients about the imaging process and provide clear instructions.
Review images for quality and transmit them to PACS promptly.
Document all procedures and maintain accurate patient records in IDX.
Ensure MRI suite cleanliness safety and readiness at all times.
Monitor supply inventory and report equipment or safety issues.
Assist physicians as needed during procedures.
Follow strict MRI safety and infection control policies.

Qualifications

Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved Radiologic Technology program.
Required Certifications:
- NY State Radiologic Technologist License
- ARRT Certification in MRI
- BCLS Certification
Experience: Minimum 2 years of MRI experience with prior scanner-specific experience required.
