Responsibilities
- Provide engineering services to safely meet the Lancaster Mill business plan by providing engineering support to production maintenance and administrative departments to achieve plant goals.
- Coordinate all phases of assigned projects from concept scope development written specifications bid solicitations and related bid meetings equipment and facilities engineering/design manufacturing and installation through final start-up acceptance and project close-out.
- Assist production technical and maintenance with various types of equipment and process issues from an engineering perspective particularly in the incumbents specialized technical field of expertise.
- Participate in the annual development of the plants three year budget process through scope development solicitation for quotes and generation of the related project description and budget cost.
- Develop a core cross-functional project team generate detailed project specifications & Scope of Work in order to solicit all project cost estimates generate detailed project progress schedule prepare and submit for approval funding request (RFA).
Required Qualifications
- BS In Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
- 5 years of experience in project engineering
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in metals industry
- 10 years of project engineering experience in manufacturing
- 8 years of experience in project management
- Possess a reasonable understanding of environmental control technology and production process with potential to impact the environment.
