Job Summary

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Commerce Payments you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Creates secure and high-quality production code to handle high volume of data with low latency and high durability.
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
- Actively engage in coding tasks demonstrating a strong commitment to hands-on development and problem-solving.
- Adds to team culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3 years applied experience
- Solid understanding of data structuresand algorithms.
- Hands-on experience in developing applicationsusing any cloud technologies to create and manage cloud-based applications.
- Good understanding of batch-based and real time data processing technologies
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or Python and database querying languages.
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Hands-on experience in Terraform (IAC) to provision and manage cloud resources efficiently
- Exposure to cloud technologies
- AWS is preferred
