Position Overview

The Grant Administration Executive II position within the Office of Grants Management serves as a dedicated business professional providing technical assistance and guidance on reviewing grant reporting and administering grants for various grant programs simultaneously. The ideal candidate has professional experience taking on these tasks quickly and the ability to conduct their work promptly for efficiency and compliance. This unique environment provides a steady workload and is a key aspect of the grant administration process. Essential Functions

  • Serves as Grant Manager for the administration and compliance of statewide complex and high-risk legislatively directed grants Governors Office-directed grants and DCEO special project grants.
  • Receives processes reviews and makes determinations on all grant fiscal reports andrequired supporting documents.
  • Develops maintains and implements internal deadlines ensuring timely processing of grant tasks and acts as central point of contact during life of complex problematic orhigh-risk grants to grantee and the Department.
  • Serves as a team leader for the Grant Administration Unit by providing supportcoaching and collaboration.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires the knowledge skill and experience equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college preferably with courses in business or public administration.
  • Requires two (2) years of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization.

Specialized Skills

  • Requires two (2) years of experience in grant administration or grant monitoring of federal state and/or local grants.
  • Requires two (2) years of experience with Fiscal and Performance / program reporting including skill inreviewing reports for quality control and compliance with state and/or federal statutes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefers two (2) years of experience in grant administration or grant monitoring of federal state and/or localgrants.
  • Prefers two (2) years of experience with Fiscal and Performance/program reporting including skill in reviewingreports for quality control and compliance with state and/or federal statutes.
  • Prefers two (2) years of experience in reviewing fiscal reports and performing fiscal reconciliations budgetformation or budget variance analysis.
  • Prefers two (2) years of developing and making public presentations conducting training andproviding technical assistance to program or grant participants in both oral and written forms ofcommunication.
  • Prefers expert level experience in the utilization of spreadsheet software document creation. email and cloud-based platforms grant reporting tracking reporting systems and compliance metrics.

  • Requires appropriate valid drivers license.
  • Requires the ability to travel in the performance of duties with overnight stays as appropriate.
