Job Summary
Summary:
An industry-leading ice distributor is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to service the Morton IL area and surrounding regions. This role is responsible for driving new business development through prospecting while also maintaining and growing existing client relationships within the territory.
Responsibilities:
* Serve as the primary liaison for customer inquiries and issues within the assigned territory ensuring prompt and effective communication.
* Take full responsibility for resolving customer concerns collaborating with internal teams to guarantee complete customer satisfaction.
* Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through consistent outreach including cold calling.
* As this is a fully field-based role strategically plan daily routes to maximize time spent visiting customer locations focusing on relationship building and gathering feedback on service quality.
* Make 12-18 in-person customer visits per day in addition to handling inbound customer calls.
* Ensure all ice merchandisers meet company standards during site visits which may involve cleaning branding updates repairs or minor refurbishments often in diverse weather and environmental conditions.
* Act as the main contact for prospective clients guiding them from initial contact through to their first delivery.
* Occasionally assist the operations team with tasks such as product deliveries equipment swaps or other service needs to help meet customer expectations.
Qualifications:
* Prior experience working in food and beverage sales is preferred.
* Previous experience handling price details negotiations and B2B sales is a must.
* Ability to adapt to changing schedule in busy season.
