Job description

Were looking for a highly motivated and experienced Head of KYC to join our fast-growing team.

In this role you will lead a total team of 30 KYC Analysts (of which 8 are outsourced) and you will directly manage a group of 5-6 supervisors / managers with the team expected to grow as Swan continues to scale.

Reporting to our Operations C-level Officer youll work closely with our Head of Transaction Monitoring (also in the Operations department) and our Head of Fincrime (in the Risk department) to scale and strengthen our AML and Anti-Fraud operations. Youll play a key role in building a best-in-class team and ensuring our processes remain robust efficient and compliant as we grow.

Main Tasks

Team Management and Training:

  • Lead a team of 30 Analysts with the team expected to grow.
  • Oversee daily operations track KPIs and manage team workflows.
  • Lead task planning and resource allocation.
  • Jointly with your management team onboard and train new team members on KYC procedures and best practices.
  • Provide continuous coaching and development support to the team.
  • Ensure operational excellence through regular quality reviews and performance monitoring.
  • Supervise and scale the outsourcing provider (8 resources at the moment)

Scale & Optimize:

  • Addressing significant challenges related to scaling and optimizing current KYC processes workflows and tools while collaborating with product engineering operations risk & compliance and sales departments.
  • Ensuring the implementation and enhancement of new processes fostering energy and momentum with various stakeholders to ensure consistent scalable operations.
  • Developing and implementing processes to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the Swan Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Anti-Fraud system.
  • Contributing to the maintenance and update of the operational procedures and documentation related to KYC and customer onboarding.
  • Challenge Swans risk frameworks and contribute to improve the customer scoring engine.
  • Accelerating our KYC Update efforts to renew the KYC of our existing customer base.
  • Support the implementation of AI in the KYC workflows in a compliant way.

Production:

  • Running quality controls.
  • Addressing edge cases escalated by the team.
  • Ensuring compliance with procedures internal policies and applicable legislation.



Preferred experience

Youre a great match if:

  • You have significant experience as a Head of/Lead in the KYC/AML/Financial Security area. Experience in fintech payment banking or within a start-up/scale-up or fast-paced work environment would be a plus.
  • You possess strong leadership and team management skills.
  • You have a strong understanding of the AML-CTF regulatory framework.
  • You enjoy streamlining internal processes to improve outcomes and scalability.
  • Youre data-driven with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • You know how to prioritize in a fast-paced production environment and can manage urgent cases effectively.
  • Youre proactive hands-on and love getting things done.
  • Youre fluent in English
