Job Summary

Job Title: Lead Azure Data Engineer

Location: Jersey City NJ/ New York 4 days onsite role

Long Term Role

Salary: $125-135K plus Benefits

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory Databricks and Azure Stream Analytics.

Design and maintain data models warehouses and lakes that support BI and advanced analytics.

Architect and implement secure scalable Azure-based solutions spanning data pipelines storage analytics and application services.

Apply Azure Well-Architected Framework principles to optimize cost performance reliability security and operational excellence.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field (or equivalent experience).

7 years of hands-on experience designing and building solutions on Azure.

Strong proficiency in Azure application development (App Services Functions AKS Logic Apps) and Azure data services (Data Factory Data Lake Synapse Databricks Azure SQL).

Solid coding skills in C# .NET Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.

Deep understanding of cloud architecture design patterns and the Azure Well-Architected Framework.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines DevOps tools and Infrastructure-as-Code.

Preferred Qualifications

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert and/or Azure Developer Associate.

Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms (Azure Event Hubs Service Bus).

Familiarity with AI/ML integration using Azure Machine Learning and LLMs such as OpenAI / LLaMa or similar.
