Job Description
CivilDesign Engineer
Interwest Consulting Group is currently seeking top talent for a Civil Design Engineer to join their operations in Southern California. Responsibilities include grading drainage and utility design for roadway park and other civil engineering projects and preparation of calculations required to support the design. Depending on the level of experience responsibilities could grow to include directing and monitoring the design work of other engineers and managing the project budget and schedule. Our design workload is increasing and the presents an opportunity for professional growth with an established firm and an experienced team.

We currently have over 300 employees specializing in public works building and safety planning engineering and real estate acquisition throughout CA and NV. is a HYBRID role with a mixture of REMOTE work and in office teamwork.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 4 years of experience
- Self-starter Design Lead with minimal supervision for roadway drainage (Hydrology and Hydraulics) water and sewer design park design.
- The position requires technical knowledge and ability in applying principles of engineering.
- Preparation or review of engineering design plans and specifications.
- Permitting applications and coordination calculations and/or other engineering analysis required in producing a set of construction drawings or an engineering report.
- Additional responsibilities include coordination with clients public agencies other consultants contractors and vendors.
SKILLS EDUCATION EXPERIENCE & PROFICIENCY
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering required
- Professional Engineering license preferred.
- Have solid computer skills and experience using PDF and MS Office programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exercise initiative and display independent judgment
- Be self-directed and self-motivated
- AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Manage various tasks on severalconcurrent projects and must be able to follow these tasks through to completion within the allocated period of time and the monetary budget assigned
SPECIAL LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Possession of a valid Class C California drivers license is required.
- California Professional Engineer (PE) registration is preferred.
COMPENSATION: SAFEbuilt pays competitive wages and has a strong benefit package.
Salary $135000-$140000
