SUBSTITUTE PARAPROFESSIONAL - All levels

Required:

1. Experience working with children.
2. Enjoys working with children.
3. Maintain the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom to which you are assigned.
4. Assists and guides students to reinforce reading language arts mathematics computer instruction and other skills.
5. Works with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning and implement assigned programs.
6. Assists in classroom preparations and strategies for reinforcing instructional materials and skills according to individual student needs.
7. Assists with classroom behavioral management to minimize disruptions ensure a safe and orderly classroom and ensure students are on task.
8. Assists students in non-instructional areas such as supervising the student lunch programs bus duty playground duty corridor study hall and other related non-instructional areas.
9. Assists students with special needs in all aspects of classroom instruction to maximize inclusion learning achievement of IEP objectives etc.
10. Assist students with physical or mental disabilities with activities of daily living for the purpose of maximizing their ability to participate in school or learning activities.
11. Able to communicate to administration and others to gain assistance or guidance when needed.
12. Flexibility.
13. Must be able to establish a good rapport with students.
14. Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
15. Must be organized take direction.
16. Punctuality is critical and mandatory for this position.
17. Must be reliable.
18. Clear communicator. Good written and verbal communication skills.
19. Perform any other related duties as assigned.
