Job Summary
Heres What You Need:
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
Associates Degree Specialized training in the mechanic trades or a related field preferred.
Experience
3 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of physical plant equipment and utilities systems required.
Licenses and Certifications
DL - Drivers License Valid Class C Drivers License Upon Hire required.
Other Plant-related certification is desirable Upon Hire preferred.
Skills:
Proficient with computerized systems for all aspects of position including time keeping work order system equipment documentation and energy management systems.
Knowledge of methods and techniques of maintaining and repairing plant equipment machinery utilities and facilities.
Ability to work effectively unsupervised and in teams.
Knowledge of building and electrical codes.
Knowledge of HVAC systems and controls.
Operational characteristics of maintenance equipment and tools.
Good communication skills.
What You Will Do:
Maintain the efficient operation of the central plant:
o Identify equipment operational and maintenance needs.
o Implement preventive maintenance program for plant equipment machinery and related facilities.
o Record mechanical equipment readings and ensure accuracy of records kept.
o Maintain plant safety features.
o Perform routine mechanical electrical or machining maintenance activities on equipment including lubrication inspection replacement of parts and related plant work activities.
o Utilize the CMMS to keep accurate computerized records of activities time and materials required; keep accurate reports of equipment maintenance and performance.
o Participate in hospital and departmental safety programs educational opportunities and job specific training.
