We are seeking a seasoned ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) Architect to lead the design implementation and optimization of our enterprise-wide SPM framework with a special focus on Resource Management. This role will ensure that our organization leverages ServiceNow SPM to drive strategic alignment effective prioritization optimized resource allocation and real-time portfolio visibility.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in ServiceNow SPM modules-including Demand Project Resource and Portfolio Management-and a strong understanding of how to build a scalable efficient and user-friendly solution that empowers executives PMOs and business units to make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Portfolio Management

  • Architect and implement ServiceNow SPM capabilities aligning investment and project portfolios to organizational strategy.
  • Establish governance frameworks to ensure consistent prioritization demand intake and portfolio execution.
  • Design executive-level dashboards to provide visibility into portfolio health financials and KPIs.

Resource Management Focus

  • Build a best-in-class resource management model within ServiceNow ensuring optimal allocation across projects demands and operations.
  • Define processes for capacity planning forecasting and utilization tracking across business units.
  • Implement role-based skills tracking to align resources with strategic initiatives.
  • Create dashboards and reports for leadership to monitor resource availability bottlenecks and productivity trends.

Solution Design & Implementation

  • Define and maintain SPM solution architecture including Demand Project Agile and Resource modules.
  • Ensure seamless integration with ITSM HRSD Finance and other ServiceNow capabilities.
  • Partner with PMO HR and Finance leaders to align resource data workflows and reporting.
  • Guide development teams on best practices ensuring scalability and user adoption.

Innovation & User Experience

  • Leverage AI/ML and predictive analytics to forecast resource needs and portfolio risks.
  • Build intuitive self-service dashboards and workspaces for PMs resource managers and executives.
  • Continuously evaluate new SPM features from ServiceNow releases to maximize ROI.

Advisory & Leadership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership demonstrating how SPM drives strategy-to-execution alignment.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops to define business outcomes resource models and governance needs.
  • Mentor internal teams to build SPM expertise and ensure sustainable platform adoption.

Required Qualifications

  • 8 years of IT/Portfolio Management experience with 5 years implementing ServiceNow SPM solutions.
  • Expertise in ServiceNow Resource Management Demand Project and Portfolio modules.
  • Strong knowledge of capacity planning financial planning demand intake and prioritization frameworks.
  • Proven ability to design enterprise resource models and align them with PMO and business needs.
  • Experience integrating SPM with Finance HR and ITSM systems for unified reporting.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills to engage both executives and delivery teams.
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in SPM or equivalent advanced certifications preferred.
