Quality Inspector for Grand Junction CO
Job Summary: This position will inspect products such as O2 sensors engine control components etc. to ensure compliance with contract specifications and company standards. Checks randomly selected samples to verify accuracy of equipment or process.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position will do in-process and final inspection of automotive components.
- Checks inspects and test product to ensure products meet engineering specifications and standards.
- Uses calipers micrometers and various testing equipment to test and determine products quality.
- Maintains inspection log and records data.
- Identifies quality issues and report findings for corrective action.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains regular and consistent job attendance and is prompt in meetings and appointments.
- Because of the changing nature of our business this job description will inevitably change. The employee will from time to time be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within his/her capabilities as directed by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in quality control is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Quality Inspector or similar role in a manufacturing environment preferably in screw machining.
- Strong understanding of quality control methodologies and standards (e.g. ISO 9001).
- Proficiency in using measurement tools and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working conditions are a warehouse with a cement floor. Employees are regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
