POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs a variety of duties involving the review analysis assessment and processing of admissions applications in accordance with university guidelines policies and procedures. Reporting to the Associate Director the Application Review Specialist will provide general support for undergraduate application processing and is directly responsible for processing transfer international and all special student and dual-enrollment applications for the institution. This is a full-time University Staff position within the Office of Admissions.
This position can be considered for limited remote/hybrid work. On occasion employees may be asked to attend meetings training or events on campus. Flexible work options will be discussed with candidates during the hiring process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Application Review and Admission Process for Undergraduate Students
Lead and conduct comprehensive application review and selection for assigned programs including transfer international and all special and dual enrollment applications according to established policies and procedures.
Assist in policy interpretation regarding applications in assigned populations.
Take a lead role in the creation and maintenance of accurate student records.
Take a lead role in the admission communication matriculation and term activation process.
Respond and/or proactively reach out to current and prospective students.
Take a lead role in scanning linking materials and data entry in our CRM (Slate).
Assist other team members in the review and processing of all undergraduate applications as needed.
Trouble shoot application and admission barriers for assigned student populations.
Confirm admission status with internal and external partners to ensure accurate registration and billing.
Create and maintain documentation of the Dual-Enrollment admission process and related procedures.
Work collaboratively with faculty staff and administration to support the admission of Dual-Enrollment students in the Early College Credit (ECCP) Dual Academic Credit (DACP) and ITV programs.
General Recruitment and Enrollment Activities
Participate in professional development and training opportunities to maintain up-to-date knowledge of admission policies and procedures.
Serve as an active member of the Admissions team; working collaboratively to recruit and enroll a high-qualified diverse group of students.
Positively represent UWRF to a wide variety of constituents via phone and email including prospective students and their families secondary and postsecondary school personnel community-based organizations and other individuals or organizations involved in the recruitment and enrollment process.
Work closely with members of the Admissions team to create a supportive inclusive and collaborative team environment where communication trust and accountability are valued.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to interact effectively with others and maintain effective working relationships with campus partners.
Excellent project and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Accuracy attention to detail follow-through technical competence and reliability are extremely important in this position.

Preferred Qualifications:
2 years of experience working in higher education or related field.
Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools Student Information Systems (Peoplesoft) and/or Perceptive Content (Imaging).
High School Diploma
Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution.
