The Gaming Enforcement Division is committed to the strict regulation and control of statutorily authorized gaming entities in conjunction with the Louisiana Gaming Control Board (LGCB). The regulation of gaming and the enforcement of criminal gambling laws promote the publics health safety and welfare by safeguarding the people of this state against corrupt and dishonest practices.

The program also provides professional services in an effective innovative and fair manner that instills public confidence while fulfilling duties that ensure accurate revenue collection and reporting from licensees protect the states assets and ensure the integrity of all gaming devices and systems by enforcing compliance with all state laws regulations and licensees internal controls related to legally authorized gaming in Louisiana.

As a Gaming Technical Compliance Specialist 4 you will be protecting Louisianas gaming integrity by delivering professional precise and proactive technical enforcement that inspires public trust and safeguards state assets.

Minimum Qualifications

Five years of information technology or electronic technician experience; OR

Six years of full-time experience in any area plus two years of information technology or electronic technician experience; OR

An associates degree plus three years of information technology or electronic technician experience; OR

A bachelors degree plus two years of information technology or electronic technician experience.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any area. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any area.

Job Duties:

The Gaming Enforcement Divisions Technical Group ensures the integrity of Louisianas gaming industry through innovation accountability and precision. Our mission is to:

  • Certify and inspect gaming systems and devices to protect the publics trust.
  • Respond swiftly to licensee requests for installs upgrades and conversions.
  • Maintain transparent documentation and communicate findings with accuracy.
  • Collaborate with enforcement audit and technical teams to ensure compliance.
  • Train and support staff while driving continuous improvement in technical controls.
  • Safeguard state equipment and oversee inventory with diligence and care.

Together we strengthen compliance protect state assets and ensure fairness in gamingdelivering excellence in every task every time.

Position-Specific Details:

Appointment Type: Classified- Probational Promotional or Job Appointment

Career Progression: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group.

Compensation:The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.

      • Minimum: $2027.60/bi-weekly
      • Maximum: $3704.80/biweekly
